Terrell Owens was only unemployed just a few days and then the Buffalo Bills came calling. While everyone in the sports world was contemplating on who would take a chance on a player who is consistently labeled a "cancer" to teams' locker rooms, Owens and the Bills were signing a one-year deal worth $6.5 million. "I'm leaving America's team [for] North America's team," Owens said at a news conference. "I must move on, and it's another beginning for me. If I can be that extra added piece to get them to the playoffs, then that's what I'm here for. I looked at the defensive side of ball and offensive side of the ball, and these guys have all the pieces."The Bills, who were decent early last season, wanted a receiver to take the pressure off number one wide out Lee Evans. The addition of Owens gives the Bills one of the best receiver tandems in the league. "We all know of his tremendous ability and look forward to what he will bring to our offense," Bills owner Ralph Wilson said in a statement. "This is a very exciting day for the Buffalo Bills." "'Wow!' was my first reaction," Evans added. "I know we were looking at some different receivers out there. When he was cut by the Cowboys, I didn't know if we were going to make the move for him or not. We did and it worked out. I'm very excited for everybody." The Bills and Owens are hoping he can have at least another 1,000-plus yard and 10-touchdown season up in Buffalo. Will the addition work out for the Bills?
