08.01.10 SAN FRANCISCO - by Ron Fulcher - In true San Francisco style, opening night for San Francisco Chic Fashion Week and Helium Magazine release party for its San Francisco start and rebirth of a fashion week in San Francisco as well as the launch of Helium Magazine’s new San Francisco branch sfHelium.com. Opening night at The Supper Club, in the house were a collective of
fashion enthusiasts for this event. The club in its signature white decor and lounge dining was lit with white and blue lighting. In my brief interview with Founder and Publisher of Helium magazine, Matthew Mountford who was very enthusiastic about the addition of the San Francisco Branch. We discussed the digital revolution of the magazine business, and the addition of downloadable publications, officially dubbed mobile publishing. There was not a copy of the new issue on hand for me to look at but the eclectic style and avant garde illustrations will truly not disappoint I am sure. We both agreed that the physical landscape of publishing is changing right before our eyes. Magazines and publications are more assessable digitally to the masses as consumers decide on what to purchase and or read. The fashion show began with models descending down the staircase. The designs featured were from the collection of Bacca Da Silva choreographed by Charleston Pierce and Mario B Productions. CHECK OUT THE HIGHLIGHTS
